Welcome to The Gates Of Delirium
Christopher Ambler presents "The Gates of Delirium", a two-hour excursion into progressive, electronic and the occasional eclectic offering.
From a leaning towards the classic keyboard-oriented tunes by Yes and Genesis to the sometimes-abstract synthesis put forth by the Italian masters like PFM and Banco, to modern tunes by Spock's Beard and Ayreon, the whole spectrum is covered. Solo work from Wakeman to Emerson to Okumoto as well as the sources of much of the electronic influences like Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, and lesser-known electronic ancestors.
Featuring the weekly serial "Steinberg's," the story of the world's most slack-filled restaurant (and its equally slack-filled employees and customers).
Your suggestions, feedback, and even criticism are more than welcome!

It's surprising, I went to find songs with "friend" and "enemy" in the title, and I found plenty for "friend," but almost none with the opposite theme. This, of course, suggests that progressive, electronic and eclectic musicians are just, in general, great people!

This week, I debut the first attempt at a comedy serial, "Steinberg's." Steinberg runs a restaurant where he prefers to just relax, watch bad movies on TV, and let the place run itself. Unfortunately, he rarely gets that luxury, especially when his troublesome waitress,
Starling is around.
This week's episode is "Fire," and we explore that word in progressive and electronic, as well as some mandatory Italian prog and a little diversion through Israel and Ireland.

It's true, no DJ in this episode, as I discover that my microphone pre-amp is dead. Gave up the ghost - or the smoke, as it were.
