The Beatles got Rene interested in music. The first record he ever bought was a 7" 45RPM single - I Feel Fine/She's a Woman. The first LP record was "Beatlemania" - the Canadian version of "With the Beatles". And the first concert Rene went to was The Beatles at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on August 17, 1966, just a few weeks before they quit touring for good.
Rene began piano lessons at age 5 and started to learn how to play guitar in his early teens. Today he plays several musical instruments and writes and records his own music.
Rene lives in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.

Since June, 2002, ProgRoots has been exploring the roots of progressive rock music, its various incarnations, influences, and spin-offs. It's a mixed bag of great music from then and now. Classic bands like Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson and Pink Floyd are featured alongside today's new progressive artists who are planting their roots only now. You can expect to hear a variety of great music from the last forty years. And quite often it's the listeners who determine what is played, by requesting their favorites.
