Okay folks, here's the first "official" statement for a new project we do over at www.thebearded.de:
Quote
Some members of The Bearded - the official German fan community of the US rock band Spock's Beard - are currently producing a progressive rock double-CD which will be released in spring 2007. The album's title is The Bearded's Project: HOPE | OMID. (Omid is the Afghan word for hope.) All the incoming money will be given to a very successful aid organization, the German Aid For Afghan Children ( www.aid-for-afghan-children.de ). This private organization founded, in cooperation with the population, several so called Peace-Schools in this crisis region. In December 2006, they will receive a renowned award for their excellent work. Please visit www.thebeardedsproject.de for detailed information.
The songs are available for download (from the 40-minute epic, it's just an excerpt), but not in their finished versions. We're still waiting for songs from Neal and SB, but that dream might not come true, it seems. But another one did come true: InsideOut agreed to sell it through their site, too. We hope to finish that baby early next year. I'll keep you updated!
