Ok yes, I know I'm late on this train, but holy crap!! This album is freggin awesome and I'm loving it even more with each new listen. That guy is truly a genius and even after nearly 40 years of producing music he can write with beauty, complexity, and passion!

As did I, but I don't know... I just never really was able to get into it until recently. There is so much new music to listen to these days it can get overwhelming at times. Now that I'm really listening to UP I am staggered at how Pete has used new technology to create kickass soundscapes & overall effects. But he blends it so well with his musical passion, the overall listening experience is great! I'd say my favorite overall track is "No Way Out" followed closely by "Darkness", "Sky Blue (without the vocal wailing at the end)", and "More Than This". Freggin awesome!
Now playing - Disc 3 of The Ultimate Yes 35th Anniversary Collection. A friend got me this. It's awesome, even if I already had most of the tracks elsewhere.

this cd is pretty good...i didn't know how much i was going to enjoy it from what i heard on "guilty pleasures" but it's actually pretty solid. for some reason gruno keeps playing the same few songs instead of getting to the really rockin' ones. maybe some agreement with the band...who knows with him...
Peter Gabriel - Security
shawn...you thought you were late! i was walking around the cd store looking through used cds and i saw it. i guess i never got it before because we have the greatest hits cd. (btw...i think i am growing to hate greatest hits cds...they suck unless you know the rest of the band's music is crap) i probably don't have to go on about how great this cd is...i just wanted to mention it because i've been listening to it constantly...and "the rythm of the heat"....amazing
Air - Talkie Walkie
this is a strange one...i think i like it. you have to be in a kind of mellow mood to enjoy it. i heard the songs "surfing on a rocket" and "cherry blossom girl" on a college station around here and decided to pic it up. it also came with a dvd i haven't had time to watch yet...it isn't rock...it's more electronic but it isn't like "thump, thump, thump, thump" monotinous...it has melody.
got some others too but i haven't had much time to listen to them yet
I have Air -Walkie Talkie in my Car right now. And I am not even sure which is the name of the Band.....
cool! how do you like it? it's definately a mood thing too in my opinion...
so i was at the internet radio station i work for and an awesome song by gorillaz came on, which is such a treat because usually i'm drowned in green day, metallica, and f'ing audioslave...and any other overplayed male rock band you can think of. ( i ususlly try to mix it up a little but i get in trouble if i play too many of my own choices...
anyways, i looked up this band on allmusic.com, which btw, is an awesome website if you want to know anything about a band or cd...and i saw that damon albarn (blur's singer), chris frantz and tina weymouth (talking heads members), and syke edwards (morcheeba's singer) are all in this band...
needless to say i picked up their cd on the way home....haven't had time to get through it yet but i'm very excited about it. anyone else a fan of theirs?
oh...about the comment "male rock band" i didn't mean to put negative emphasis on "male"...it's just that when you have to hear the same 15 or 20 songs over and over they all start to sound the same...ya know?
