Got off early today (it was slow due to lots of snow coming tonight) Was on my way home and saw that there was a parking spot in front of my eye doctor! My glasses needed a bit of an adjustment, over time they get bent, sit all crooked...and a good cleaning.
So...it's -13 degrees in the wind here today and she starts adjusting my glasses. I say " Don't you think you should warm them up in the water first? "
She says, " No, they are bending just fine"
Then......... SNAP.....
I looked at her and immediately she says... " Oh, this is awful, you know we aren't responsible for any breakage but I can give you the number of a place to get them repaired "
OH MY GOD
So......basically they aren't going to replace them, I called the repair place..got the voicemail. Luckily I have some disposable contacts to wear in the meantime. AND...the kicker?
They discontinued my glasses....

That is NOT the way!! This doctor said nothing about your warning her to warm them up first? You should call the office and proclaim your case. Surely they would conceed that she should have taken your warning. The Evil-Doers!!!!
