After special shows to mark the recent holidays as well as an attempted response to Gruno's gauntlet, the Lighter Side returns with a tribute to the band Freak Kitchen. If you've never heard these guys before, no, they're not a tribute band to Papa J's favorite room, but a straight ahead rock trio from Sweden. Tune in for a healthy dose of their catalog as I have recently purchased all 5 studio albums plus virtuoso guitarist Mattias IA Eklundh's solo album Freak Guitar.
So join me Wednesday night to get Freaky and hear some sounds that you wouldn't think could come out of a guitar. I'll also have plenty of the usual suspects as well as tracks from the new Salem Hill and Owsley albums.
