Pain of Salvation: BE.

It's good, but not GREAT.  The song flow is a real let down for the material.

Hey, Steve, welcome.  As I mentioned to you in chat, when I first heard Be, I too thought it was very disjointed and cumbersome, despite the brilliance of the music.  But with repeated listens, the underlying musical themes and the amazing subtleties of the overall orchestration emerge and it becomes a more cohesive whole.  I still, after months of listening to it, continue to be rewarded by all there is to discover.  I can't friggin' wait to see the DVD to delve deeper into the strange and magnificent world that is Be.

Enjoy!

Porcupine Tree - The Sky Moves Sideways ( remaster ).

Nice to see another Prog fan from Florida Mindcrime. Lurk knows another progger who lives in FL - that brings the total back to somewhere around 7 ( if you include the guys from Little Atlas ) and another friend of mine.

Keep the prog fires burning in FL - and come on up to Atlanta when you get the chance!

Porcupine Tree ~ Deadwing ... I've heard this is really good, glad I finally get to hear it!  Wink he he

Genesis ~ Duke ... a couple people have told me this is a must-have (OK, everyone has told me that) and some have told me that it might be the best Genesis there is ... so when I found it for the Nice Price of $6, I could not resist finding out for myself

Queens of the Stone Age ~ Lullabies To Paralyze ... another Nice Price that was impossible to resist

All in all ....  Grin
