Hi all. For those who wish to know, i'll be doing my first pirate show after the Rogues Gallery on Thursday night/Friday morning your time - or Friday night my time. Tune in.........if you dare.
I'd just like to thank everyone for showing up and supporting my first pirate broadcast. I realize it was very late over there in the US. I really do appreciate it and it shows what a great bunch of people we have here at The Dividing Line. I had a set list all worked out but it got thrown out the window when people (including Mrs Blade) demanded that I talk! Anyway, the set list was something like this:
Joe Satriani - The Journey Simon Phillips - Out Of The Blue Paul Gilbert - Girls Who Can Read Your Mind Show Promo
Dream Theater - Metropolis, Pt. 1- The Miracle And The Sleeper Symphony X - Accolade II
Rik Emmett trilogy - Fantasy Sernade, Finger Talkin, A Minor Prelude Triumph - Time Cannon Triumph - Killing Time Triumph - Suitcase Blues
The Gnomes Of Zurich - The Gnomes Of Zurich Baby Animals - Working For The Enemy Stevie Wright - Evie Parts 1, 2 & 3
ACT - Manipulator (BBQ) Enchant - Tug Of War Kevin Gilbert - The Way Back Home
Rush - Natural Science
Gary Moore - Shapes Of Things Scorpions - Catch Your Train
Simon Phillips - Kumi Na Moja
Steve Morse - The Leprechaun Waltz Steve Vai - Attitude Song Frank Gambale, Stu Hamm & Steve Smith - Wrong & Strong Dali's Dillema - Within A Stare
This week I’ll be following my mate Frans in the Rogues Gallery at 12 midnight on the Dividing Line clock. I’m gonna be playing another nice mix of tunes, but for the first half of the show, I’ll be playing a bunch of music that I was listening to when I was playing in bands myself. So, be prepared for some heavy guitar charged rock and roll. The Australian connection will feature 2 great new acts I have just discovered as well as one old favourite and another tune to fulfil my fusion addiction. And I’ll be finishing off with some DLBN favourites [and probably another fusion thing J ]. Hope to see you there, or if you can’t make it, be sure to catch the archive at http://www.thedividingline.com/tsor.html for some cool rockin’ goodness.
