Volume level

Being a computer geek, please allow me a question:
is it possible to broadcast each song (automated feed) on the same volume level? I know that the sound quality of some songs is very different, but maybe there's some program that allows to adjust the level?

It's possible... it all depends on the linux player we're using.  I'll have a look into it.

Thanks for the fast reply!  Smiley

Another question: during the automated feed, you hear a lot by Peter Gabriel - I would say more than any other artist. Is it just coincidence due to random play, or do you have that much stuff by him?

Whazzup my autofeed lovin' crew?

Words on the volume:  I shall put it on the burner of things to do.  Right now our server admin is still coding the scheduling software (which I'm hoping will be done sometime soon).  Since the feed is currently running via shell scripts in a linux console based environment, it's proving to be somewhat difficult for me to find normalizing plugins.  But, I shall keep looking, fear not!
