If it was available in stereo and you could afford it (and had a stereo needle on your record player) you'd pay about $3.79 for the "High Fidelity" version.  I feel like the grampa telling the story of when we used to walk 12 miles in the snow and ice to get to the corner store to buy a loaf of bread for 5 cents!

Tell us about 78 RPM records while you are busy reminiscing...  Grin

Lol!  Let's just say, for a trucker, I make a pretty decent graphic artist.  Tongue

My first record was _Morrison Hotel_ - by the Doors. I bought it the first week it came out.  Shocked

I guess that gives away my age...

Same here Gary, "The Monkees". What was that, 1966? Yikes!

Well, Gary, Granma's here!  Mine was The Monkees, too! Interesting thread...at my teenager's behest, we're going to drag the record player out of storage this weekend.  I'm a bit worried, she's already raided my concert t-shirt collection, now she's going to get into my Monkees, and 3 Dog Night.  I get to keep the Traffic, Heart and Neil Young!! I took a lot of abuse for also owning the Archies 'Sugar Sugar' but it was a gift--not MY fault!
