this i used in my song "moods"  as the main (and strongest "home base" melody)
it opens up a whole heap of ideas  .. it  covers a very wide range of tones . for the most part you will be covering 6 frets on the guitar .. i'm lucky i have BIG hands and my fingers can reach from F to C to D  on the E A D strings ..  
I picked up this voicing from Andy of the Police .. and later from John P  of DT .   i will tell you more later  .. but i need to sleep ..  i am way tired !  ................
