Clock added to Program Guide
« on: September 16, 2003, 10:36:52 pm »
Hello all,

Tonight I added a new feature to the Program Guide page. It's a clock that shows the current server time. This matches the time zone used for the show times in the chart, so people in far away time zones can compare their local time to the present time displayed and determine how many hours' difference there is. Supposedly it automatically adjusts for Daylight Savings Time too.

I was asked for this feature a while back but could never find one that displayed server time instead of client side time, which really baffled me. I mean, why would you bother writing a script that tells people what time it is where they are? Don't all computers already display that? Anyway, this one seems to do what we want so I think we'll keep it!

Enjoy!
Rene
