Rogues' Gallery Thu Sept 18th - addendum
« on: September 18, 2003, 09:18:59 am »

In addition to the new Kaipa and recent Pain of Salvation CDs I will spotlight some other recent additions to tonight's show. All material are Dividing Line premiere's if I am not mistaken!

1) Pigfarm on the Moon - "Return of the Rain" - it's a doozy!
2) Buddy Hayden - "Moods" - don't miss this!
3) Onion Jack - "Atmosphere Planet 3" and "God You Believe In" - two excellent ambient tracks

As you see, lots of new music to review and enjoy!

Here's the original post for tonight:

Here's what's going down on tomorrow night's Rogues' Gallery:

Featured Albums:
Kaipa - Keyholder (latest release)
Pain Of Salvation - Remedy Lane (penultimate release)
From both listeners and artists I would like to receive a short spoken wav or mp3 file about who you are and why you listen to the Rogues' Gallery.  All you need is a microphone and a sound recorder and e-mail me the file.  I'll intersperse these clips as tributes to you, the hearts and souls of the Rogues' Gallery.

Other News:
The Geoff Tate Interview that aired on September 4th has been posted to the Archive section (Special Event Archive). There are 2 files, the full show and just the interview. Both are in Real Media format.
Interview and Music (4h 34m)
Interview Only (46m)

Hope to see you all in chat Thursday night!

Frans

Ps. If you are an artist and I have your music please request it during chat!

Sounds enlightening, Frans.  Buddy is the only one of those you mentioned, that I'm familiar with.

I've heard of Pain of Salvation, and Onion Jack, and I've probably heard them, but they haven't registered in long term memory yet.  I guess we'll have to work on that.

Having listeners record spots for your show was a great idea.  I forgot to mention the message board.  If I find time later today, I'll record another one.

Thanks for all your research, and sharing with us.

It's all about the discovery of new music. The first two hours generally contain the new music and the last 2 hours typically are requests, so there's hopefully something for everybody!

Onion Jack ... I've probably heard them

We'll certainly do somthing about that  Wink

We can be found at www.onionjack.co.uk and you can find more of our music at www.mp3.com/onionjack, although obviously Frans gets the exclusives  Grin

Tonight's tracks are my demos for the next release which is due out towards the end of the year. Rogues Gallery is the ONLY place you'll get to hear them for a few months at least...

If you like what you hear, please feel free to join our fledgling Yahoo group, a link to which is on teh front page of our site somewhere...
