Favorite Chick Prog

Just curious about people's favorite female-fronted progressive music band, or even if folks around here have even heard of any/most/all of these bands.

Joel.....I wasn't sure how to vote on this one. If I strictly voted with my eyes I would have voted for Heather & Mostly Autumn (I like their music alot too). But since I voted with my ears I had to choose Iona. Although Joanne Hogg (vocal-Iona) isn't that bad to look at either, her voice is by far the BEST I've heard in progrock today. And Iona's music is 10 on a 10 scale to me too!!! (check'm out JC)

Yeah fs, I was on their site today, got me thinking about this poll. I haven't voted yet. Rachel Jones' voice (Karnataka) is absolutely mesmerizing, as are most of the vocalists on this list. I'm holding out for now...

Tough choice. I ended up going with Karnataka, though there are a few bands that are occasionally fronted by women that I would put slightly higher (Izz, Ayreon).

Renaissance!!!

One of my favorite bands EVER.

Has to be Annie Haslam. Renaissance were superb when I saw them in 1973 ish and Scheharazade is still one of my favorite albums of all time.

I choose Mostly Autumn but I like the music of Nightwish as well. I am not sure if they have changed their vocalist but they were fronted by a female on some of their previous efforts.
