I just wanted to let you know that PapaJ’s Matinee returns to the airwaves this Saturday night (August 7, at 7:00pm Pacific) with a very special show featuring German prog-rock sensation SYLVAN. There is an interview with Marco (singer) and Sebastian (Bass) interwoven with music from their last 2 CDs “Artificial Paradise” and “X-Rayed”. “Artificial Paradise” came in at number 4 on my Top Ten List of 2003 (http://www.ytsejam.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1067 ) and these guys are one of the best new prog bands on the scene IMHO. If you aren’t familiar with their music, don’t miss this opportunity to fix that! They are one of the early bands booked to ROSFEST 2005 and have recently signed a record deal with American based ProgRock Records. The special will start at the top of the second hour (8:00pm) and I hope you can make it. Also, for a unique perspective and to hear what other listeners are saying, stop into the chatroom.
Also, I just returned from a 2-week vacation on Vancouver Island in Canada. I plan to share some of my “unique” observations about the Great White North and it’s people throughout the show.
