Oh yeah!! What a weekend indeed. Not only was the concert amazing but I had the pleasure of meeting a ton of DLBN people as well. I never got around to meeting Mary (who always had her hands full it seemed!) however ALC, RFF, Lady Earthshine, Hemisteve, and Trinity were all a pleasure to meet (I hope I didn't leave anyone out of that!) - I look forward to seeing you guys at the next Rushcon.
RFF - When you were getting on the bus after the show did you see me drive by and scream your screen name from my car? My license plate is ''AJS 2112" and i've got a Rush bumper sticker as well.
ALSO - Check this out, I met Geddy's mom during the show. She looks EXACTLY like him.

I did hear you Adam when I was leaving, but I had no idea who that was, LOL. I'm hoping to get back to YYZ, maybe some time over the winter because there's so much I wanted to see but didn't get the chance. Last weekend was seeing it like a Rush fan...next time I'm going as a hockey fan!

What a treat that was! So cool to meet rff and adam and ALC! And of course to see my beloved Mary again. All you guys rocked and I can't wait to see you again next year!
Towards the second half of the show I sort of moved out of my seat and into the aisle so I could dance and air guitar without hurting anyone. I ended up right at the front of the 200 section, which is as close to the stage as you can get if you want a seat and not be on the floor. There was this old woman definitly in her mid to late 70's sitting directly in front of Geddy and she looked almost identical to him. Needless to say you don't see many 70 year old women at rock concerts with a seat as good as that. The pieces all fell together. I approached her with this random Rush fan I happened to be dancing with and voila - it was her. Pretty cool me thinks. I wonder how it feels to have Geddy Lee as your son?

At the Portland show, we had 13th row seats in the 100 level, and there was a couple sitting next to us that were 70ish. Brad asked them if they were enjoying the show and the man said he prefered jazz, but they were a good band. Apparently his son (who appeared to be in his 40's) wanted to go and so they all got tickets! The older gentleman stood some of the time, but his wife stood the entire show! Wow! It was weird but kinda cool! Until Brad talked to them, I thought they might be related to the band or crew, but alas, no. You see all kinds of different people at Rush shows, that's for sure!

This was said almost like it was a good thing....? I laughed out loud reading that she had a mullet!!!! Damn, this is classic. She looked exactly like him? Huge nose and all? I gotta find pics on the net now of her. Momma Lee with a mullet... do they know it is 2004?
