1. Earth, Wind and Fire - the " I AM " tour

2. Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights

3. Rush - Vapor Trails
   Yes - Magnification ( Hearing Awaken live....oh the tears)
   King Crimson - The Power to Believe Tour

I have had the pleasure of seeing a lot of shows (for me!) in the last 2 years, would like to mention them... But I don't wanna get in trouble with Gruno

No, didn't see the last one.  Cost too much for this poor boy.  I heard it was amazing as well.  Gabriel is such an amazing showman, I don't know if it's possible for him to have a bad show.

Okay folks...I have reviewed all of the "favorite performances" so far and only four bands or performers have been mentioned more than once out of the 33 votes offered up so far.  The four leaders are:

7   Peter Gabriel
3   Yes
2   King Crimson
2   Pink Floyd

Now, Peter Gabriel is well ahead in the lead, but that is partially because he was identified as the best concert three times by...well...we will just leave the ballot box stuffer unnamed!  Notwithstanding, he would still be leading the pack.  I will keep track of future votes...in the off chance another artist manages to sneak up into the multiple vote category.

1) What is the first live show you saw?
2) What is the last live show you saw?
3) What are three of your all-time favorite live performers?

First of any relevance Vytas Brenner, a local key wiz (very cool prog mixed with traditional venezuelan music)
First of Int'l fame: Styx in 1978, Cornerstone Tour

Last of Int'l Fame: Progwest last year

3 All time faves:
   - Peter Gabriel - US tour
   - NDV et al perfoming Shaming live and 1st SB 2.0 performance
   - Yes - The Ladder Tour
   
Honorary mention: Phil Collins... (can't remember which album...it was the first tour w/o Chester on drums.... the sound/stage/performance was one of the best, just excellent, too bad most songs were not, Still i fully enjoyed it.

Sounds to me like the Both Sides tour in 1994.  That was a good tour but the album was pretty bad.

WOW!!!!!!  Some of my older sibs saw Yes AND Gentle Giant together in a small club near Santa Cruz, must have been the early 70's (I am one of nine)  They talk of it often when we get chances to be together .....

All have seen King Crimson many times also, I had the pleasure of seeing both Yes and KC for the first time on their latest tours!!

I am therefore a product of their superior musical tastes

• Kiss on the Dynasty tour
• The ARMS benefit concert including names like Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Simon Phillips, Nathan East.
• Kiss on the Lick It Up tour.

Now, of all the concerts i've seen the ones that have blown me away have been (in no particular order):

• Jeff Beck, Simon Phillips and Nathan East at the ARMS concert
• Deep Purple on the Abandon tour with Steve Morse
• Kiss on the Lick It Up tour
• SRV

My wish list

• Led Zeppelin
• Rush
• Van Halen with Roth or Hagar

Others that were good

• Dire Straits
• Alice Cooper
• GnR

One that was particularly boring

• Phil Collins

If I put in that Peter Gabriel is over rated 3 times does that cancel out the other votes?

1st Concert: Johnny Cash at the Lane County Fair (the first I CHOSe to go to was Jackyl opening for Damn Yankees)

Most Recent Concert: Jeff Beck and BB King at Fiddlers Green

Best Concerts: (I haven't been to many though)
1) King's X - Early October 2001 (just a great post 9/11 recovery moment for me)
2) King's X - Spring of 2002 - a fun live vibe - they started taking requests and goofing around - just all around FUN!!
3) Roger Waters - In The Flesh Tour at the Gorge at George, WA The first show after he finished recording the DVD - They started out the show by flying the tour jet RIGHT OVER the audience as they launched into the song "In The Flesh" A great fun outside show at possible the most beautiful venue I can think of.
