Busted Links??
« on: September 29, 2003, 03:31:06 pm »

Hi guys, I am trying to get into the archives section, but any link I click on seems to be a busted link. Having fallen asleep at 1am UK time on saturday night, I was hoping to be able to listen to the Neal Morse interview on archive. Any idea when I might be able to do that.

Thanks

I just tested it and it works fine for me.  Just click on "PapaJ's Matinee" in the archives section and it should load if you have RealPlayer installed.

Shawn,
Thanks, but I did click on Papa Jim's link and got a "404"?? Mind you the net has been sluggish and troublesome all day over here in the UK. It's now midnight and I'm gonna turn in for the night and try again tomorrow. Thanks for the help anyway. Good night.

Hey,

No probs.  If there's anything else I can do to help let me know.  Could have just been a glitch I guess.

Take it easy

Just tried the link to Papa Jim's Matinee page again and it is very definitely a busted link from my mahine. Get the "page cannot be displayed message". Don't know if you can help, I'm on Braodband with XP as the op sys and trying to view thru IE. Once again it's late here in the UK, so I'm off to bed and will try again tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Do you have RealPlayer installed on that system?  If not, that's your problem.  You'll need to install it.

Shawn,
Thanks for perseverring with this! (I'm really not very good technically). I've got Windows media player pre-installed. I had to download WinAmp to listen to the actual station. Do I now need to download another player for the archives? I don't think I've got RealPlayer on my system?? Yours very confused, but thanks for the advice.

Hey there,

Yep that's your problem.  You don't need Windows Media player.  You need winamp to listen to the station's live feed and RealPlayer to listen to the on demand archives.
