Obviously, there's no word in English that has the "ch"-sound as in "ich bin besser".

But you can hear how "ich" is pronounced when you click on this link: http://dict.leo.org/le?20015143.
The same sound is in "die Küche" (the kitchen): http://dict.leo.org/le?26531609

Sounds like ish......  ::)
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

It doesn't if you ask me.... I think it is more a blend between an h and a g. Anyway, people have the same problem with the Dutch -sch, no one from abroad can say that properly. But I have that problem with your -th. I break my tongue over it and it took me a lot excercise before I was able to pronounce it the right way in about 20% of the times.

It's hard to describe how to produce that sound.
Sounds a bit like the hissing of a cat. It's not a deep sound, but a high one.

Anyway, I should be there on Saturday, so give it another try. ;)
