My buddy Shawn Gordon from Progrockrecords and progrock.com recently started a music download service called Mindawn, which is a cross-platform, DRM-free music service similar to iTunes and specializing in progressive music. Music is encoded in FLAC and OGG formats, with FLAC downloads priced slightly higher due to increased file size and bandwidth considerations. He also got a nice write-up in today's MacCentral Online. Thanks to Shawn for supporting open standards and cross-platform compatibility. And especially for supporting prog music and its creators.
This is an absolutely amazing system and I believe it's the wave of the future when it comes to music distribution. Shawn has put a fantastic effort into the design and accessibility factor of this service. It's very unique and I hope many people here will check it out!
