The forces of nature and the demons of technology have conspired against us and have brought Prog'opolis to its knees. Last night our computer suffered what has been diagnosed as terminal failure, leaving us unable to broadcast and jeopardizing the future of Prog'opolis itself. Daisy Jane and I have resolved ourselves to work as dilligently as possible to regain all that was lost in time to bring you episode #80 of Prog'opolis, and will keep you all informed with weekly updates. If you see Bill Gates, bitch-slap him for us.
A short time ago, on an internet radio station far, far away...
It is a period of technological uncertainty. Rebel DJ's,
broadcasting from a hidden studio deep in the badlands
of Utah, have won their first victory against the evil
Microsoft Empire.
During the battle, Dividing Line spies managed to concoct
a workaround to keep Prog'opolis broadcasting, all the while
working to thwart the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Blue Screen
of Death Star--a mysterious force with enough power to destroy
an entire computer.
Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents (who frequently disguise
themselves as software and hardware malfunctions), Princess Daisy
races to the local SmartTech aboard her little red Corvette,
custodian of the secret plan that can save her listeners
and restore Prog'opolis to the internet...
TO BE CONTINUED...

Due to a mild case of Captain Tripps, Vince and Daisy had to call in sick for their regularly scheduled show this week. In their absence, The Dividing Line Broadcast Network is proud to present the following best-of episode of "Prog’opolis” from the golden oldie archives. Originally aired March 18, 2006 (and what a year THAT was, children!) this is the show that was subtitled “The Almost-Darwin Award”. Those of you too young to have listened live will simply have hear for yourselves to understand, and those of us old enough to remember will laugh like we did in years of old. The following news story was published in the days preceding the show, and provides a peek into the awe-inspiring story behind Episode 53.
INTERNET RADIO HOST NARROWLY ESCAPES DARWIN AWARD WIN
(SALT LAKE CITY, UT) "In retrospect, locking the house key inside the house was our first mistake," Vince Font, co-host of the internet radio show "Prog'opolis", said at a press conference early Sunday morning. "We were forced to break into our own house and it was all downhill from there."
Font and his wife Daisy Jane were unable to gain access to their Salt Lake City home Friday night due to a malfunctioning garage door opener. After realizing they had left their one and only key inside the house, the couple was forced to take measures into their own hands--with comedic and near tragic results.
"By the time we got the ladder from my mom's house it was raining outside," Daisy Jane, co-host with Font of their wildly popular internet radio show, stated. "I would have offered to climb the ladder myself but I didn't want the neighborhood peeking up my skirt. They all want me."
Font, 36, managed to pry open a window but slipped as he was readjusting his enormous mass and sailed headlong into the couple's split-level dwelling. Witnesses claim to have heard the crash up to a quarter mile away. The extent of his injuries were unconfirmed at the time of this report, but Font appeared to be limping as he approached reporters for the press conference.
"We're just lucky he didn't earn a Darwin Award in the process," said Daisy, referring to the honor given people who supposedly improve the human gene pool by removing themselves from it in a spectacularly stupid manner, and with a flippant eyeroll added, "but there's still plenty of time for that."

Scientists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) stated early Sunday that a recent adjustment to the atomic clock would require the citizens of the world to set their clocks ahead 2.6 seconds. They also announced the official time to download the latest episode of PROGOPOLIS as "immediately", and warned failure to do so could result in irreparable damage to time-pieces everywhere due to the coalescence of cold atoms in atomic fountains. DIVIDING LINE DJ REVEALED AS UNIVERSITY TASER VICTIM
The man who was zapped into the national spotlight recently for being tasered by University of Florida police during an appearance by former Presidential candidate John Kerry has been identified as Vince Font, 37, co-host of the internet radio show "Progopolis". Early reports, which identified the man as a 21-year-old University student, have been discredited. Font was tasered again during a recent live broadcast of "Progopolis" by his wife and co-host, in which he was heard to scream the now famous words "Don't tase me bro!" moments before the electric shock was applied. It wasn't until the broadcast gained the attention of Florida police that they realized the wrong man had been taken into custody. Font and his wife Daisy, who broadcast out of Vancouver, could not be reached for comment. The incident has propelled "Progopolis", a 3-hour Saturday night internet radio show dedicated to the genre of progressive rock, into the international spotlight. The recent on-air incident occurred at 56:50 into the broadcast and can be heard by downloading the show at http://www.thedividingline.com/p
