This is our second show of the season and we played some amazing tunes for you. Not only did we dig deep for a set of archaeological prog (thanks to the listeners for playing) we also put together 2 killer sets of new and old that will hopefully flippeth thy lids (as the kids are saying these days). Check out new music from Maze of Time, Fractal, Shinsekai and Lynn Stokes & Sol Surfers.
Next week we return for another gander at 1971. We will finally reach November this time around.

Show #142 takes us back to 1971 for a couple of fantastic albums, Wallenstein's- Blitzkrieg and Pink Floyd's Meddle. Add to this the usual melange of Soundscape goodies including new music from SBB, Manning, Umphrey's McGee, UKZ, and Circa's newest release HQ. It was Superbowl night and yet we had our biggest crowd in chat ever. Along for the ride were Soundscape Tribe members and those new to the ritual as well. Welcome one and all, and thanks so much for checking out our little niche on the dial.
Next week we present an evening of spontaneous creation as Soundscape will have no theme. We will be calling this next show tangential drift because we will follow the streams of consciousness and rivers of music into the ocean of musical bliss. We look forward to a creation ex nihilo Soundscape presentation. Of course we will season this mix with new music from all over the place. Come and check us out!

This week we take an experimental journey into spontaneity within the soundscape. Begining with a Traffic Jam and working our way out into the ocean, taking a death trip and finding our way back to the City of Sounds, this is a journey of improvisation. The rules of the game were very simple, follow themes as suggested by the music across the soundsphere into the waiting arms of fate. We had a fantastic time with this idea and we hope you archive listeners will as well. We even got a rare opportunity to listen to new music from Longshanks which is not yet available anywhere
Next week we, like many other DLBN folks will be out and about and unable to come to the mic. So we wish you all a happy valentines day. However, next week we will be celebrating our 3rd year on the air and paying tribute to the legendary Eddie Jobson. Also expect new music from ARZ, The Source, and Beyond the Labyrinth.

Well fellow proggers, we have now been on the air for 3 years. It has been full of fun and frivolity and we wanted to recap it by looking at some of the most influential Soundscape sounds across the 3 years we have been on. This represents only a swath of the artists that have made the biggest difference to our little broadcast but you will at least here a lot of fantastic music.
Join us next week for the March history show as well as lots of new music. For those who have been waiting, the Jobson special has been put off until the 2nd week of March.

Welcome to another faithful edition of Soundscape. This week we check out 3 new prog bands: ARZ, The Source, and Headshear (no so new, but new to us). We also catch up with 3 more albums from 1971 in our ongoing history of prog series: King Crimson's- Islands, Beggar's Opera- Water of Change, and Gong's- Camembert Electrique. We top it all off with a healthy helping of prog from all over the time and space scape. You will not be disappointed, unless you were expecting the Spanish Inquisition.
Next week we will take a long look at the creative works of Master Eddie Jobson. This is a theme that has long been in waiting and now with the release of the recent UKZ album it is a perfect time to see Eddie historically and today.

Greeting from Soundscape. This show is dedicated to the amazing and talented Eddie Jobson. Jobson has been involved in the prog scene in many capacities throughout his life. You may recognize him as the violin and key player for UK, but he has been in so many bands and played on so much great music that it was really difficult to pare down. Just what are the most representative tracks for this amazing musician. I would like to say that we grabbed them here God knows we tried. We missed some very powerful stuff from Eddie but we do hope that this sampling of his genius gets you rolling into the stores to find out more about this superconductor (even if he does wear a pink jumpsuit on stage once in while).
Also in this episode new music from Seven Day Hunt, and some rather old stuff from Tinyfish. Add to this the normal dose of weird and wonderful, your sick but present DJ, and Suzi who keeps us all on track and you have what is know as Soundscape #146 Jammin with Jobson.
Caveat- Due to the use of a Frank Zappa piece- younger ears should be kept in a bucket.
Next week- Radio Games! We had so much fun with our recent spontaneous broadcast Tangential Drift, that we are going to do another show of radio games with you listeners. Requests are certainly invited, but we will be playing: Degrees of Seperation from Tony Levin, Connect the Dots, and if time allows we will ride through another tangential drift. Please come joins us for another thrilling edition of Soundscape.

Greetings from the Sonicsphere! This weeks Soundscape is a game show. In this episode we play 3 games that will frame the show. The first game is "Connect the Dots" in which the ending word or piece of word has to be found in the begining of the next song. In Game 2 we play "Degrees of Seperation with Tony Levin". Starting with a randomly picked song, we move from band to band until we find someone who has collaborated with Tony. Finally we had such fun with the last Tangential Drift episode that we present a shortened version at the end of the show. Also in this episode you will here new music from Blind Ego's 'Numb' and Wishing Tree's 'Ostara'. All in all a fantastically fun show and one that you will thoroughly enjoy.
Next weeks show will be a Gardening show. Is there gardening in prog? We think so and we will prove it. However, if you have a good gardening suggestion just drop it at one of the contact links below.

Spring has sprung dear listeners and it was up to us, misguided though we may be, to offer a transitional passage and mark the occasion. With the Ides of March behind us we figured we might as well go for broke and present our version of the garden. You know that song by CSNY about having to get back to the garden...not here. But we do have some lovely music that will perhaps put some spring in your step.
We also take a listen to new music by Satellite and Factory of Dreams, and a new shredder named Tony Hernando hits us with one of his best shots.
Next week we tackle the question of questions in prog. We will look at all the questions that prog artsists ask and we will attempt answer some of them. Your question requests are valuable so please let us know what questions you would like considered.

This is one of our more off the wall ideas for a theme show. Nevertheless it was a lot of fun and we hope you enjoy it. The theme is simply the questions that prog rock asks us. You will understand when you listen. We also have new tuneage from Coste Apetrea and Roswell Six. We think you will enjoy both of these amazing pieces of music.
Next week we take one last look at 1971. I know we have said that before but thistime for really! We are really going to do it. I am not kidding, we will listen to the last influential progressive releases from late 1971. Please come join us for yet another crazy edition of prog history.

The history lesson for 1971 seems to have gone on forever. However, in this episode we will explore the last 2 great prog albums of 1971: Mahavishnu's "Inner Mounting Flame" and Traffic's "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys". Plus there is a smattering of left overs from 1971 that you might like as well.
For our new remnants of the week we have tunes from Queensryche, TCP, Ashent, and OSI. Definitely worth the download!
Next week our theme will be Las Vegas! Songs of gambling and debauchery for the well worn high rollers. If you have suggestions please send them to the email listed below.

For heavens sake mankind Megadodo publications is only 10-20 light years away!

Soundscape #157 After last weeks progstravaganza tribute to Douglas Adams, we take a break from theming this week and play a ton of new music, and some oldies we had forgotten about for a while.
For the next 2 weeks Soundscape will not be on the air due to my shipping out for San Francisco. However, here are a ton of great shows you can check out in our absence and if you are lucky they may even pirate in my spot. I could reccomend one but there are so many amazing shows on DLBN that you will just have to try them all.
When Soundscape returns we will continue our history lessons with more music from early 1972. Also on the horizon is more Escape Velocity, Library episodes, and Georgia Prog show. All this and more as we continue our mission to seek out new prog and new musical machinations and boldly go where no prog show has gone before.
