Sorry for the late notice, but Under the Radar went up Wednesday night on schedule - it's usually a pretty good bet that it will, even if you don't get an email from me! Anyway, enjoy the tunes!
Here's the setlist from this week's show - a little out of order from what I'd intended, but great stuff nonetheless! It's all there, from Fourth Estate to Magnet to Yogi - audible treats for your consumption!
Well, it was 4/4 Day at Under the Radar! That's right April 4, 2007, the 4th day of the 4th month, so we featured - appropriately - a bunch of prog tunes in 4/4 time! Along with other stuff as well! It's a love-fest of the hip, the groovy and the proggy all melded together for the kind of mix you find ONLY at Under the Radar on The Dividing Line Broadcast Network! So dig in and enjoy!
Well, it was a sad night, not having Cozart's show following mine, but it did give us a little extra time for more tunes. Lots of great stuff in this set as always.
We kicked off a new segment on tonight's show: Great Melodies of Prog! Three of the four selections played tonight were suggestions/requests by you folks, so keep 'em coming in! And be sure to drop me a line and let me know what you think!
Great show again tonight, gang! We had the 2nd installment of "Great Melodies of Prog" a.k.a. "Uber-Melodic Prog" and was a hum-dinger! (That means "really good" in case you don't speak Hick.) Some of these melodies will just rip your heart out, especially the Karmakanic tune! Be sure to listen to that one over and over till you start weeping uncontrollably! (Side effects include joy, melancholy, and an inability to watch television. See your doctor if you experience an erection that lasts more than 7 weeks.) And be sure to send me your suggestions for future installments of Uber-Melodic Prog!
