The Dividing Line / Re:"Guilty Pleasures" Says Good-Bye To DLBN
« on: August 29, 2005, 07:25:11 am »
Can't I leave you kids alone for a couple months without everyone imploding?

I know the real reason for Gruno's departure is that the roadie business is just too lucrative these days. Get his pay back to all the ditchweed one can smoke and all the warm Blatz one can swill and he'll be back in a flash.

Gruno just wants to be Phil X's hair boy on the road. Primping then huffing AquaNet - now that's the life!

I was inspired to quote something I remember from Pulp Fiction, but when I googled it I found an even better one to express how I feel:
Jules: There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass.
From what I witnessed during last night's finale, pops led a lot of people thrugh the valley. We'll miss ya pJ!

The Dividing Line / Re:i am looking for a genesis song

This has been quite an enlightening string. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine there would be something even close to as sickening as listening to a Genesis song. But now I know better, having READ about a Genesis song.

 :P

I just don't know, Gruno. When I heard you were going to run off on some cockamamie hobby I had my doubts. Now do you see why I was concerned? You need to remember that your job is as a DL dj. This notion of running off to be a bongo technician is fine so long as it does not interfere with job #1.

Does Carny miss his show because he's out playing with his carp? No.

Does Joel miss his show just because he needs to sacrifice chickens at the behest of a vodoo chieftain attempting to conjure up three Bears wins in the upcoming season? No.

Both of these fine gentlemen know what side of the bread is buttered. I think you could learn much from them about balancing ones private and professional lives.

All is well here, Shawn. I moved to a smaller town, so now I'm on the road (going to the bigger town) darn near every week.

found a fun article on the band here:

They are going to play Madison on 9/5, opening for Dream Theather. Should be fun, even if it does mean putting up with a bunch of pwog geeks for the evening.  :P
