The Dividing Line / Sounds of Muzak Comes to an End
« on: January 06, 2008, 04:51:28 pm »
DLBN Listeners,

After five years here at the DLBN I have decided to leave.   I thank everyone for taking me in and I will miss the station.

Do not despair - I will not be disappering from the "airwaves" as I have decided to follow the pahs of Joel and Lurker and will still be part of the world of internet radio.

I have met a lot of wonderful people, djs and listeners, during my time at this station and would like to keep in touch with as many of you as possible.  If you would like to get in touch you can still contact me at

Thanks again.  Singing Off.

Artists & Music / Wow this new project creation is really good

If you like Ayeron I think you will really like The Floating World album.

Like Ayeron it has a sci-fi theme and it is a supergroup of about 15 artists. (from Portugal)

Like Planet P this is the first album of a trilogy.

Here is a great interview with them

Some Quotes from Hugo

HF : Sure. Regarding Project Creation’s genre, and although I usually don’t like to catalogue my music, I would say it’s progressive hard rock, sometimes touching the metal edge, but with lots of atmospherics and an ethnic vibe as well. It’s not always, in my view, space metal, it’s different than most things, I guess.

HF : Hmm, I can tell you my favorites, at least what I remember now:

David Arkenstone – Quest Of The Dream Warrior
Rush – A Show Of Hands - live
Vangelis – 1492
Dream Theatre – Falling Into Infinity and Awake
Threshold – Hypothetical
Devin Townsend’s Infinity and Terria

Along with many others that are inside my head, but are playing hide and seek with me now

Now I will be playing the album in its entirity Sunday but thats not why I posted I think you should definitly check out the album.

You might have to get on all fours and talk into the business end of a cat.

I have asked for that to be deleted from the database its not supposed to exist actually.  That artist is actually Brittney Spears Greatest Hits.  It supposed to be merged with Brittney Spears and that will illiminate it.  The good news is people that click on similar to Brittney Spears greatest hit will see the genesis link.  NExt thing you know we will have 100's of ex Brittney Spears fans listening to the dlbn lol.

We can show up in any group we want too..

I have done my part to knock Spears down to 14th most like genesis by the way.  I think I need to get some Premiata Forneria Marconi to help knock it down furthur.  Sounds interesting anyway if anyone has some please email me when you are going to play it.  I always intrested in Italian Prog seeing as I am Italian and that genesis was thinking about calling it quits thats when selling england by the pound went to number 1 in italy and they continued on.

I have statered using this fun site If anyone else is using it please let me know so I can add you to my list of buddies.

I just signed up so my stats are a bit bizarre as I get ready for my shadow gallery show.  Feel free to bookmark it.
It has sent me contacts to the fifty people that have musical tastes similar to me.  Which you can contact.
You can tie an RSS feed automatically with it.  Feel Free to Subscribe to this RDF Feed.
Then I was thinking of creating a group DLBN  which treats a community in the same way as individual.
Here is a mature group
Check out the most populate Marillion Song
Scroll down and see their biggest fans.
Here's how it works....

It works the same as the mirc Now Playing Plugin but this plugin just send the song artist and title to their database instead of mirc.

You dont even have to be online it will cache and send next time you get on the internet.

What do you think?

The Dividing Line / Sounds of Musak starting an hour early

For two good reasons.

1.  The Featured album Room V is a continuation of Tyranny
2.  The Feed is down.

So I will start the show off with Tyranny in its entirety.
