The Dividing Line / HAPPY BIRTHDAY DLBN!
« on: April 01, 2007, 02:44:13 pm »
Happy 7th birthday to The Dividing Line! Since first arriving as listeners in mid-2004 (thank you Frans), Daisy and I have made some lifelong friends, and it wouldn't have been possible without Shawn Bishop and his dream to build the coolest prog internet station in the known universe. Thank you Shawn, Rene, Alistair, all the DJ's, and all the loyal listeners for the wonderful music, the fun, and the friendship.

Much love,
Vince and Daisy

Headline says it all! Vince and Daisy Jane, former hosts of "Prog'opolis", will return on Saturday March 10 to fill in for the vacationing Shawn Bishop of "Behind The Lines". We're terribly excited for the opportunity and hope that each and every one of you will cancel your plans, put up your feet, fix up a drink, and turn us on.

Much Love,
Vince and Daisy Jane

The Dividing Line / Prog'opolis Vacation
« on: October 07, 2006, 08:18:39 am »
Due to our impending travel plans, tonight's episode of "Prog'opolis" will not be broadcast. Instead we invite you to tune in to The Dividing Line for the smorgasbord of sound you're bound to revel in as Grrrl, host of the fantabulous "Underdog Prog", extends her show until 8pm Pacific Time. We hear tell that you may get one or two special DJ pirates, so do tune in! Vince and Daisy will be back on the air on October 21 for "Prog'opolis: T-minus 2", and of course make sure to clear your appointment books for "Prog'opolis: The Last Show" which will broadcast October 28. Now if you'll pardon us, we're off to California to see Roger Waters, Tony Levin, Porcupine Tree, and a whole buncha family and friends.
love and prog,

The Dividing Line / BACK UP AND RUNNING!
« on: August 26, 2006, 04:49:42 pm »
The Dividing Line website is back up and running and PROG'OPOLIS will be live and on schedule tonight! The website chatroom is unfortunately still down but that doesn't mean you can't communicate with us during the broadcast: Yahoo Messenger users, add "Progopolis" to your buddylist and send us a message! AIM users can reach us at "DaisyDLBN" and "VinceDLBN". There's no reason your Saturday night listening pleasure should be ruined by the actions of a few maliferous egghead hackers with nothing better to do but set their sights on the finest prog rock station on the internet. PROG'OPOLIS starts at 8pm Pacific Time. Be there or be square (as those wild hepcat kids used to say back in the day).

love and prog,

The Dividing Line Broadcast Network is happy to announce... strike that--we're tickled SILLY to announce the birth of a brand new show! Coming soon to a Winamp player near you, on an as-yet undetermined day and time, we give you RETUNE THE SKY hosted by Stephen "Retune" Carl, AKA "The Professor", AKA "son", AKA "the coolest prof on campus"!

According to Retune, the show will be organized around certain weekly themes, such as the violin in progressive rock, the jazzy side of prog, etc etc. There are so many avenues of possibility to explore that we're simply bursting at the seams with anticipation! The Mighty Professor will also throw the spotlight on southeastern American prog on a show segment titled "The South Side Of The Sky"
in his quest to educate the masses to the fact that Nashville ain't JUST about country and western anymore!

Stay tuned to this station for further developments--as soon as everything is in place we'll send out an alert so that everyone can tune in to the first
broadcast and give Retune a warm DLBN welcome!

much love,
Vince & Daisy and the rest of the DLBN staff

Anyway check out the pic Vince took of the two of us and listen to Prog'opolis tonight for a blow-by-blow rehash.  ~swoon~

The Dividing Line / ANNOUNCEMENT: "SCHIZOPOLIS" new time, same day!
« on: October 21, 2004, 07:00:39 pm »
ANNOUNCEMENT:  Starting Monday October 25th, your charming and affable "Schizopolis" hosts Vince and Daisy Jane will be hitting the airwaves 3 hours early every Monday night (that's 7pm PST) to sit in for the vacationing Gruno until his return in early December.

We'll be on the air from 7pm to midnight starting off sharing our own "guilty pleasures" (disco anyone?) and then delving into the schizopolic realm of ambient/post-rock.

Hope to see everyone there, it should be a blast!
