Hey DLBN gang,
I've got lots of goodies to share this week. The Tsunami Projekt has arrived at last, and will be featured on both The Healing Colors of Sound and Epic Prog with The Lurker. Goodies from bands like Izz, IQ, Rocket Scientists, and more, will be accompanied by lesser known, but excellent artists who contributed to this worthy cause that has already raised $9,000 for tsunami relief. Our own Gary Sauer also appears on the album, performing a great Izz track.
Also on Epic Prog, we'll hear from the John Young Band's live album, "Live at the Classic Rock Society 2003." John, a keyboardist/vocalist, has played with such artists as John Wetton, The Scorpions, Greenslade, Ken Hensley and Bonnie Tyler, and he toured briefly with Asia. His band includes bassist John Jowitt (IQ, Jadis, former Arena), as well as drummer Dave Stewart, who has worked with Fish (Fellini Days). Guitarist Robin Boult rounds out the band. Boult, who grew up playing in bands with Pete Trewavas of Marillion, once replaced a honeymooning Steven Rothery at a Marillion show. Boult, from the band Big Big Sun, has also toured with Fish, and often works with Howard Jones.
And of course, all the usual goodness you've come to expect on a Friday night will be there as well. And be sure to stick around for Critic's Carnival afterward!
