What a blast having Keefe, Mark and Erik from Shortway here in the studio today!  We were treated to some great live tracks from their cd Stillpoint, as well as some songs from their upcoming cd and instrumental EP.  Both are due out soon!  A great vibe here on the show today, opened with a kick ass song from the new Mars Volta cd Amputechture.  Prog is alive and well in today’s music folks, you just have to know where to find it!  Only on the Mighty, Dividing Line….

Christmas with friends.. I am such a lucky girl! Jay and Kat came down from the Great White North to go see Zappa Plays Zappa here in Portland!! What an amazing show.. We were completely blown away by Dweezil and crew. His guests included Terry Bozzio, Steve Vai and my new hero, Napoleon Murphy Brock. There was more talent than that stage could hold. The veterans of the live Zappa shows of the 70’s and 80’s are still as tight as ever. We also celebrated the Goddess’ 30th birthday! We love you Ellie! Thanks to everyone that traveled to the studio tonight, and those that joined us in chat. I hope you all get some time with family and friends this Holiday!
